Scout Return Policy

At Scout Alarm, we pride ourselves on building the best DIY home security system on the market. However, if you wish to return Scout for any reason, we wish to make the return process as painless as possible.  
Scout Alarm Return Policy 
  • Orders shipped and/or used internationally are void of any returns or refunds.
  • Scout Alarm can only accept returns for items purchased at www.scoutalarm.com. Orders/items purchased via Amazon.com must be returned to Amazon. No Exceptions. Scout is unable to access Amazon's orders and payments, so we are unable to issue refunds for devices sold by Amazon.
  • You have 60 days from the date your items are received to return products to Scout for a full refund. Once a refund is issued, please allow 5-10 business days for the funds to return to your payment method.
  • All Scout products purchased through other retailers must be returned in accordance with their respective return and refund policies.
  • Please ensure all items you are returning are repackaged with all the cords, adapters and documentation that were included when you received it.
  • Once items are received, they will be evaluated for eligibility of a full refund. If an item is heavily damaged, we reserve the right to process a 10% restocking fee or declare the item ineligible for a refund.
  • Once a return is received by our team, please allow up to 72 hours for your return to be processed.
  • Note for customers purchasing with Affirm: Affirm will only issue you a refund if Scout Alarm receives your returned items and processes the refund within 120 days from the date of purchase. Affirm will credit any payments you have made on your loan, up to the amount of the refund, to the original form of payment within 3 to 10 business days of the refund.

Request a Return

  1. Send an email to orders@scoutalarm.com requesting a return. Please include original order number, if possible.
  2. Scout Alarm's Customer Experience team will email you a UPS return label and additional return instructions. Please use the UPS label to return your Scout devices. Any exposed adhesive needs to be covered to prevent damage or sticking during shipping. Please include the ticket number provided by Scout's team in the shipment.
  3. Once your return is received, a refund will be processed within 3-5 business days. You'll be notified via email once the refund has been initiated back to your payment method on file.
